Enjoy the beaches! We like to go to South Beach but many like Tigertail. Both of these beaches are operated by the Collier County Dept. of Parks and Recreation.

You’ll find lots to do at Tigertail: There is a ranger station with periodic talks and walking tours along the beach, which has been restored to a natural state with native plants and wildlife. There are also restrooms and the Tigertail Beach Café, which serves burgers, wraps, drinks, ice cream bars, etc. Near the Café charcoal grills are available. Right on the beach you can rent paddleboats, kayaks, chairs, umbrellas and cabanas. The beach itself is very long so you could take a long quiet walk, if you like. Part of Tigertail is protected by an offshore sand spit so there are no waves on this section of the beach. You can wade or swim to the spit and then find waves on the other side of it. Tigertail is very good for snorkeling and seeing wildlife, especially birds.

South Beach has wonderful beaches with very fine, white sand. It is a good place to look for shells.
